As you all probably know by now, Ubuntu 9.10 (aka Karmic Koala) has been released today. This is a great step forward for the Linux desktop and we surely did not want to lag behind with Allmyapps! So we’re happy to announce the immediate availability of Allmyapps for Ubuntu 9.10 (also in available in french for the first time).

We also setup a custom search page to provide you with a comprehensive and visually appealing list of the new desktop applications in Ubuntu 9.10 compared to Ubuntu 9.04. As you will see, this list is not truly exact as some “old” package will show up among the new ones but still, it gives you a very good overview of what’s new in Ubuntu 9.10.

This new release also brings a lot of small improvements like a new home page [I must admit I am particularly fond of our brand new fading carousel ], the ability to propose applications that should be installable from allmyapps and other things like an application submission page which we’ll talk about in a future post with more in-depth details about our strategy here.
